I think it was 2008, you had to have the direct IP of 4chan because one of the major DNS providers went down. Service was out for a couple days iirc, it was pretty neat.

Certain centralized servers for low traffic sites. Promotion of symmetrical connections at the well, better up with the same down. Potential to be wholly anonymous.

OP here, all your comments made me real angry at the state of things. I just hate how they are right now. cloudflare is cancer, literally can't use the internet anymore.
But my current problem I intend to solve is dns snooping. as I live in a middle eastern country I just know my internet is being spied upon, I will fight for my freedom and privacy when ever I can.
TLS/SSL and even some of the VPN providers can't prevent my metadata from being leaked, as it's pretty plain from my A records dns queries exactly where I went. this is absurd .

I intend to fix myself a solution, already set up my own dns server for the past month for filtering malware and adware and social networks using dnsmasq, but I need to find a solution for this absurd dns system. dnscrypt seems complicated and not user friendly and I guess my only option is to locally host my dns records...
