What are some good programs to remove the abnormal behavior of Windows 10? By abnormal I mean shit performance caused by 2000 background threads that are busy all the time fucking up my harddrive and uploading every bit of info to Microsoft? I can't run shit like this. Even Skype, browsers and Steam are slow AF. I have 7700K, this level of shit performance is unacceptable.
>>
OOSU
>>
You literally can't.

thank you! downloading now!
>>

>Even Skype, browsers and Steam are slow AF. I have 7700K,

hahahaa
your cpu is like 10x faster than mine but everything is slow becuase you run Windowss!

ps. you cannot remove the botnet from windows 10, it will prevent/force you

just grow up from gayming and install Linux
>>
>>62348041
>install Linux
sorry bro, i'm not smart enough to run that thing
>>
>>62348066
btw this is a common thing i am noticing: generally the more high end a pc a person has, the more technically incompetent he is
>>
>>62348022
Nice! Will be trying this when I'm off of work
>>
>>62348105
not gonna argue that

the reason why i buy expensive computers is because i buy them for gaming and because i generally suck at computers
>>
>>62347985
Is it a good idea to remove botnet with a closed-source software? I mean it could be a botnet itself.
>>
>>62348254
> being bad in tech
> buying an expensive PC
Why?
>>
>>62347974
Remove windows 10.
>>
>>62348299
Do you personally go through each line of code in every piece of open source software that you use?
>>
>>62347974
Why though? Don't you want windows and your favourite software products to improve?
>>
Install Gentoo.
>>
>>62348369
you don't?
>>
>>62347974
Well there is this file you can delete, -------.--- that disables the botnet.
>>
>>62347974
Uninstalling Windows 10 should get you pretty far.
>>
>>62348369
Of course not. But how does this proof anything in this case? You are trying to disable spyware features and use some software while you don't even know what it does. How is this good for privacy?
>>
>>62347974
Install Linux.
There is NO other option.
>>
>>62348591
You are using a closed source OS full of closed source software anyways. You can of course do every single setting manually if you wish, this is just a tool to centralize settings.
>>
>>62347974
why are you using a hard drive for your OS?
also go through loads of settings menus and disable things
>>
and disable windows update in dws
>>
>>62348661
There are hundreds of tools like that, some of them make things worse, not better.

How do I know this is not one of them?
>>
>>62348693
NO! This shit is out of date, the dev said it himself.
>>
>>62348709
>disable windows update
Not a very smart thing to do.
>>
>>62347974
You have to be retarded to think that you could disable anything meaningful no matter what other software you install on top (if it is also closed source and you honestly believe it will help, then you probably have brain damage).
>>
>>62348641
What if you want to play Games?
>>
>>62348809
You either use wine and accept that not everything will work or you continue to use spyware.
>>
>>62348661
Dude I can write a software that shows you a bunch of red warning labels saying you are being botneted, then put a big "make good" button, imitate some hard work and after that show you bunch of green labels. And you will consider yourself safe which will be placebo.
>>
>>62348771
>out of date
That's what I'm always worried about with all that M$ crap...
>>
>>62348809
there are nearly 4000 games for linux on steam alone

you don't get them all without running some advanced kernel based virtual machines, but if you can follow internet tutorials you can play games like gta V or witcher 3 on linux with no issues. performance hit is usually less than 3% because it is a KVM, so you don't load the entire fucking windows, only the kernel and the drivers. also, it's way better that way because windows botnet can't access internet and use the resources you're paying for to send your cuck porn browsing habits to microsoft
>>
>>62348874
>there are nearly 4000 games for linux on steam alone

Most of which is shovelware
>>
>>62348945
What did you expect?
Most games on Windows are shovelware.
>>
>>62348954
most games on all platforms are shovelware

i'm still waiting for PS4 to get something other than bloodborne because i don't want a console for a single game that looks appealing to me. and people get shit like horizon zero dawn. just fuck off sony you immense disappointment
>>
>>62348591
Because your argument is that there could be something malicious about a closed source program just because it's you can't read the code, but unless you're personally auditing your open source programs there could also be something malicious in your open source program as well.

Remove Windows 10. Install Win10 LTSB

https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments/6dvkbt/full_guide_installing_activating_windows_10_ltsb/

Runs like butter on my i5-2540m. Never slow.
>>
>>62347974
>Turn off everything in the privacy section
>Set updates to manual download in group policy
>Disable cortana in group policy

Wait for it to update necessary drivers, and for superfetch to do its job
Then it should be faster than previous versions.
>>
>>62348729
In the end you never truly know with closed source software. The tool does what it promises, it collects a lot of settings from the control panel, the registry etc in one place. Use a VM to try it out and maybe monitor the process for suspicious behaviour and report back.

Why did you install Windows 10 in the first place if you care so much about removing the botnet?
