Whats wrong with i3/tilling
Nothing. I use it daily. ;)
Nothing. But there's everything wrong with those useless gaps.
Nothing, I like using it for my Pathfinder preparing
>>62340528
Exactly I dont have gaps whats the point of tilling if your just gonna waste space
>>62340560
I have a 4k monitor so I need some gaps.
I'm too comfy on gnome after 5 years and I'm too lazy to learn i3 shortcuts. I also don't want to spend a month tweaking for the perfect theme. Maybe next summer.

It's terrible for quick switching between applications that need to be fullscreened. I use openbox w/ focus on mouse-over and it's comfy as hell. No more autistic buffer switching. And there's usually no reason to have a bunch of small windows unless you're trying to monitor a lot of logs/outputs without being able to script at all.
I3
>strange way to make the titlebars
>needs the rootkit formerly know.as X.org
Tiling wms in general
>need the rootkit formerly know as.X.org
>>62340862
There's nothing wrong with having x.
>>62340862
wat
>>62340862
Ive never been more confused in my life
>>62340891
>theres nothing wrong to have a complete, stitched operating system only to do bitmap dumps
>>62340862
what do you use, headless linux ?
>>62340308
>all that wasted screen space because muh margins and borders size
>>62340985
Sway. Or GNOME on wayland.
>>62340862
sway
>>62340862
velox, dwc, sway, way-cooler and tons of tiling wms on github you can find for wayland
>>62340983
It's the only thing OpenBSD runs out of the box _/( ' _ ' )\_
>>62340862
mmm this is very gud bait
>he doesn't know about sway
>he doesn't know that wayland uses X11 to
>>62340857
What the hell are you talking about, you can just put a full screen window on each workspace and easily switch between them or even use ctrl+w to put a bunch of fullscreen windows on a single workspace
>>62341010
>>62341020
I know them. But tiling wm shills almost shill rootkit based WMs.
>>62341036
>wayland uses X.org
I hope that you aren't talking about Xwayland.
>>62341048
How do you remember what's on the workspaces?
>what's wrong with i3
it's not dwm
>>62341081
>being so much of a brainlet that you cannot remember what you have on what workspace
>>62341091
dwm itself isn't bloated but dwc is much better and so is velox as dwm replacements because dwm uses X.org and X.org is bloated garbage
>>62340308
>what's wrong with i3
it's not xmonad
>>62341158
I don't think I can do anything about it
>>62341091
>what's wrong with i3
>it's not dwm
>>62341168
>it's not xmonad
it's not bspwm
