Dell laptops have always had great Linux support. Some of them ship with Ubuntu.
I'm going to buy Dell Inspiron 15 Gayming (7567) laptop for 1700$ next week. I know I could get a decent PC for that, but I think desktop is impractical for dorm life + I'd have to buy monitor and keyboard
>i7-7700HQ (2.8GHz, TB 3.8GHz, HyperThreading)
>16GB RAM DDR4
>NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5
>512 GB SSD
>15.6" UHD 4K ISP display
I'm gonna keep my old HP Elitebook 8440p for everyday caring tho.

It'd be easier than getting a Dell, and the end result would be identical.
>tfw cheap HP consumershit
Broken IOMMU implementation and they were too cheap to install 2 antennas for the RTL8723BE and the 4.12 kernel broke the ant_sel command, and the screen has viewing angles straight from the depths of hell (still better than Asus desu), but otherwise its alright
