Apple: Improves style, removes function at the cost of style, says you don't actually need it and then charges you even more money because it really matters if a laptop can fit in stacy's jam packed purse. Newer is always better, right?
Lenovo: Modernizes style up to the point where further "improvements" would seriously hamper function and then stops, realizes that anyone who needs a truly portable computer would just use their smartphone because the width and length of laptops hampers their portability no matter how thin and shiny you make them. Continues to make thicker laptops that work well as laptops instead of tablets with keyboards.

the macbook pros were legitimately "okay" up to the early 2010s
