Hey /csg/uys, I'm looking for some Bluetooth earphones.

Right now I have a pair of Meizu EP-51s, which sound quality is awesome after some EQ fidgeting, but I want something that is in the IEM form factor instead of earbuds, because they NEVER seem to stay inside my ears.
A better range and/or better battery life would be nice extras but not a must.

No, sorry if I made you think that, I didn't try to say or imply it. Soldering is really easy actually. I've never worked with a pcb for keyboards, but most soldering jobs are easy to do. Since the pcb won't be under a lot of stress even "bad" solder joints should serve you well.
There's also a lot of elitism out there, just try and ignore it. Even if the soldering looks shit, as long as it works well you don't need to care. Again, good luck on your project

What do you guys think of the Xiaomi Mi A1?
It's basically a rebranded Xiaomi Mi 5x but with GOOGLE at the helm for software instead of Xiaomi so it should be a lot less buggy n shit.

It's a great idea to show off xiaomi hardware, but why is the battery so small compared to their other phones? Even their 5in phones have 3500-4100mah batteries.

This phone is basically made for pajeet since it doesn't have any proper LTE bands for north america anyway, so I'd never buy it myself or ever recommend it to anyone in north america.

I honestly prefer MIUI over stock android, and MIUI gets updated weekly compared to the android version getting updated barely ever on any older phones. MIUI9 is coming out for the original Redmi 1 that's almost 5 years old, so the UI of that phone will be similar to one on nougat even though it's on jellybean.

I've had my Redmi note 3 pro since march 2016 and because I'm sold on MIUI I'm probably going to order a mi mix 2 the moment a good review drops on it saying the earpiece isn't shit anymore, and it has band 4 lte like the old one did.

My carrier supports B3 B7 B8 all of which is supported by the A1 some other carriers in the country uses B28/B38 of which the A1 supports B38. The carriers that use B28 also support some mix of 3/7/8 so I'm all good.

I'd probably take the A1 over the Note 4X or the Mi Mix 2, both of which I've fiddled with.
A1 is almost the same price of a similarly specced out 4X here with better camera, better audio at the expense of some battery life. While the Mi Mix2 is too large to fit into my stands, mounts and headsets.
