uMatrix is actually really great, but it's a pain in the ass to uncheck everything you need when you open a website.
It's okay if you browse the same stuff every day, but if you're using google to search for something, every link is broken.

I still have to figure out a good way to solve this problem. At the moment I'm just a pleb and I allow too much stuff.

Yeah, uMatrix is definitely not for you, then. If you want less breakage, don't block 3rd party scripts, only 3rd party frames. This doesn't block nearly as much cancer but it's better than nothing
