Geeqie is really good because it can display partially loaded images. It's a lot more responsive because of that for hi-res pics on slow storage.

There's also an option to hide all menus and panels and make it tiling WM-friendly, like feh.

I'd say it's only decent because animated gif are displayed statically and I don't think it's capable of open webp and stuff like that.
The user interface is also not great, but it's actually way better than most of the others so... I'll take it.

It has it in months but the package version on most distro (arch, debian and derivatives) sucks.
