I want to watch Bluray on my PC monitor using my PS3
I tried connecting the PS3 using an HDMI cable directly to my monitor. Now of course I get the video but no sound since I'm using my speakers on my PC.
I tried to connect the PS3 using HDMI directly to my PC but when I switch channels on the monitor I don't get any image. If I manage to do it this way I'll get sound as well since it'll be connected to the PC graphic card HDMI output right ?
If so how do I get an image this way ?

Ur retarded.
PS3 allows to pass the audio through an AV cord. Video through HDMI, audio through AV. If your speakers don't have RCA input, grab an RCA to 3.5" jack adapter, I'm sure it should exist somewhere.

My speakrs don't have RCA or a jack input just a headphones output... Logitech X230

> or a jack input
Bullshit. How do you connect them with a PC then.
>>62270035
all your hdmi on the pc are outputs, fuck man get it together

has it right
You need a cheap av switch, and a 3.5 to stereo rca adapter. plug the logishit into the switch's headphone output. plug the adapter into the pc and switch 1. now plug a ps1/2/3 a/v cable into the ps3 and enable audio multi output in ps3 audio settings.

Also sage
This is way too complicated, I just wanted to play games/watch blurays on my PC monitor
I think I'll just buy a external BR USB player and plug it to my PC, which is connected to my speakers, this way I'll have sound right ?
pls respond

Power on in safe mode then switch display lol

BD-ROM does not work by itself, you'll need a player which supports Blu-Ray. Otherwise it should work, USB 2.0 can deliver more throughput than 30Mb/s.

People already gave you an answer.
You need to to get an adapter to connect your PS3 AV output to your speakers.
That's all you need to buy.

You dumbshit.
Take your RCA over to phono, put that into the Line In (blue) port on the back of your PC.
Go into Recording Devices -> Line In -> Properties -> Listen To This Device.
Fucking eejit.

Not phono, 3.5mm jack.

That's a great idea.

What ? This is what I should do if I connect the PS3 to the PC instead of the monitor right ? This way I'll have sound ?
I'm not interested in the RCA thing solution it sounds way too complicated/messy and I don't even have those cables anymore, just PS3 + HDMI cable
