>RX Vega is made for gaming
https://www.techpowerup.com/236748/rx-vega-achieves-43-mh-s-130-w-in-ethereum-mining
>achieving 43 MH/s with just 130 W of power
>So Vega is achieving 43% more hash rate with a meager 13% increase in power consumption
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*inhale*
BWWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
give up gaming already

AMD making bank and gaymers on suicide watch. Does life get any better?
China just banned cryptocurrencies. It's over for AMD.
>>62251596
>China just banned cryptocurrencie
what
how can they ban digital currency.
are they conducting raids on mining houses?
lmao
>child labor
>thisisfine
>digital currency
>FUCKING NOPE RAID RAID PRISON4LIEF
>>62251565
AMD is still losing money on these cards, the only people who should be happy about Vega are miners and Nvidia. What a fucking mess.
>>62251596
No idiot, they banned icos, not the same thing.
>>62251637
Destabilizes the Yuan. The commies still left in power there will kill you for destabilizing their currency.
>>62251659
They are fucking stupid I swear, I feel ashamed to have a Ryzen and R9 280x
>>62251696
Fire Raja.
>>62251637
Just make it illegal for any institution to exchange it for fiat currency and for any business to except it as payment for goods and services. That would effectively ban it.
>>62251659
>AMD is still losing money on these cards
t. Currytech "sources"
>>62251659
yes exactly true anon because we all know a rumor out of another rumor that is proven to be lies its literally what amd is doing
>>62251596
china sub every miner that uses solar or wind farms in exchange for coins
CHINA BANS CRYPTOS
the state of anons
Rejoice!
With the ETH crash we will hopefully see aftermarket cards for cheap
Just gonna leave this here...

If GPUs are so good at calculations then why don't they just make the CPUs from GPUs?
>>62254476
Because they're not. See GPU video encoding.
>>62254392
so did anyone ever figure out why it was performing so well in dirt?
>>62254654
No AA. Something is bottlenecking AA performance, something having to do with the low geometry output of the shaders.
Not sure if it can be fixed by drivers though...
>>62254604
>>62254604
>Because they're not
What did he mean by this?
>>62254751
is that really all there is to it?
does it work better without AA in other games too?
wouldn't enabling the primitive shader thingy solve this then?
>>62254773
Because they can't do the same advance math as CPUs can.
>>62254821
ye
>>62254773
GPUs are only better than CPUs at certain types of maths since they are particularly designed for those types, but are trash for any other type.
I wish someone would come up with an easy way to benchmark games. Fraps method is shit. Intel method is shit. There are a handful of games that have built in benchmarks but can't really be trusted.
>>62251565
>Making Bank.
They aren't, in fact, they're losing bank.
>Gaymers on suicide watch.
No, they'd just buy Nvidia as they always did. How does this benefit AMD or you as a consumer? Or are you just playing teams?
