What does /g/ use to send emails from VPS? Am I a fool for believing that my emails won't be marked as spam if I send them from my own server? Postfix at the moment. Considering google suite.

I was in the same boat. Just said fuck it, and now I'm using an external email provider.

Zoho mail is great for that. IIRC you can get about 25 free email addresses on your own domain with them. I also use them for my normal mail address, never had an email not delivered somewhere.

Looks great man, any number of domains?

Samefag here. Meaning, are they gonna gouge me for every new stupid project I want to start?

I use it on two domains. I don't think there's a way to have multiple domains on one account, but IIRC they don't take any info from you when registering, so I just have two account. Had no problems with that, their app even supports logging in to multiple domains simultaneously, so they probably don't have any problems with that.

Dealing with outbound mail is a huge hassle. I had a site with everything setup, spf etc. 100% pass all the checks. Still could not get mail to yahoo without being flagged. Registration emails with links, flagged all over the place. Pony up for mailchip or sendgrid or even google to manage it for you.

I've worried about this even if you setup everything right you still get put on the naught list but I've heard other anons say they are running on VPS just fine. So what's the reason for different experiences? Is it maybe partly because the person that had the IP address before you was naughty?

Probably that, or the whole VPS' IP range is flagged as bad.
