Websites are typically/hopefully maintained by people who know their shit. If you're running a hobby server, it's well possible that you are unknowingly leaving yourself open to be hacked. E.g. if you have a mysql database or an http server running, but you never bothered to change the default passwords, so anyone can access everything and potentially even run PHP scripts that have full access to your computer.

If a "hacker" gets your public IP you're basically fucked. Any skiddie with basic infosec knowledge can find exploits online and target you specifically. You'd need equivalent skills to properly defend yourself - nothing major but something that 99.5% of the population doesn't have. That's why e.g. the TOX IP leak was such a big deal it led to the project being abandoned

If he could get admin privileges he will have all the power you have. He can install a keylogger and get all your passwords. Really though unless you have something valuable that can be extracted noones going to hasck you personally. You're more at risk of wide net attacks where malware is just spammed to as many people as possible. Often via email. SMTP based attacks are very common.

IP/Domain name, isn't a big deal. It's when your running a public facing "service" that's the real point of attacks. ex: FTP/Website/Terminal Servers/VPN/etc. If they gain access to user name/pass & access permissions aren't set properly then any of the above is fair game for attack. I run a FTP & Remote Access website from my home server, however access is severely limited to a single non standard user account. Furthermore the only "Write" enabled folder for this user is for file uploads. Every other share the User has access to is set for "read only" Antivirus software is installed and running on the server as well. So even if the account itself was compromised the attacker couldn't do any damage.
