My first time was OK, left for about 6 months.
Now, I barely last a week, and then get back to this shithole.
Have you tried?

Why leave ?
>>62219128
why stay? what fucking holds you here?
I would leave, but I can't find anywhere better, which is pretty fucking sad.
I only browse here when I'm catastrophically bored; in order to leave successfully I would have to find something that keeps me from ever getting bored
The days of bulletin boards and forums are long gone, where would I go? I came here in 2007 after bouncing around with myg0t and PN's in online game forums.

>Have you ever tried leaving this place?
What's the point?
>>62219040
I did try.
I noticed that one morning when I hadn't been here for the whole night.
at this point normalfags are everywhere
>>62219141
its something to do late at night.
I've had stretches of 2-3 days without 4chan and I believe that my mood was greatly improved. I didn't have that pervasive cynicism and negativity. Also I find myself talking to my (few) IRL friends and either trying to explain 4chan jokes or 4chan lingo to them with little payoff.
As for leaving, there just isn't anything else like it. Forums are slow as fuck and the user "reputation" mentality is cancer to its core. Then there's IRC which is just dead or white noise. And reddit is a worse echochamber than any 4chan board.
Hah
You thought that the "you are here forever" was a joke m8?
I will leave once the neckbeards in this board will understand that Windows is better than linux [Insert your favourite destribution here]/OSX in literally everything but server shit for linux.

I love 4chan, and have for the last 10 years of my life.
I don't spend my whole day here, so I guess that keeps it fresh. I just browse on my phone on my commute to work, or late at night before sleeping when I'm too tired to play a game or watch anything, also when I'm in the bathroom or during my break at work.
There's so many boards with interesting things to read... Not everything is vitriol, you can actually just skim over vitriolic content, especially if you're mostly a lurker like me.
I've had so many positive interactions with 4chan, so many good recommendations and nice conversations with people I'll never know otherwise, I've made friends to play games with, I've been helped and helped people with things, I've shared things I've done or things others have done, I've taken part in big things over the years anonymously.
I feel a sense of belonging that no other place can give me, it's not like I feel everyone here is my brother, it's not like I like everyone in here. It's just one big group of people who are anonymous and discuss anything that they might want to discuss, you just have to go to the right board.
Not going to r9k, waifu threads or other fuck-your-brains-up threads will let you enjoy 4chan a lot.
I wouldn't wanna leave, and if I did, I would just up and leave, like I've left every other place I've left in the past.

No because 4chan is my main source of porn.
>>62219040
I did for about 5 months. Life seemed blander but it was also much faster.
