It's the same thing Amazon does. Their listed price (the one that's struck out) is like 30% more than the "sale price". But if you look at Amazon price trackers, that item has never been sold for the "retail price" and has always been sold for the "sale price".
It's scummy and should be illegal because it's basically tricking consumers into thinking their getting a deal. We need to protect the stupid people from the rich and powerful

This isn't always the case. Many times I've seen items with a MSRP price of for example $159 while the item on 3rd party sellers is $179 with "retail" price mark at $220 crossed out.
