/g/uys, im not gonna sugarcoat this with any edgy memes or whatever, I just think you guys could help me in some way.
I have a zip file with the full source-code of a website and I have no fucking idea how to make it into an actual website... is it easy?
What website?

no website, it doesn't exist yet, its a website that plays back youtube links submitted to reddit and i am wondering how i could make it into a website and maybe make some money...
can anyone help?
You need to transfer the files to a server running Gentoo GNU/Linux
General way of doing it:
Install nginx (or apache if the code requires it) + php + whatever db it needs (probably mysql) on your linux box.
edit the webserver config, this depends on the webserver. you will need to enable php-fpm or something like that.
Copy code over.
run `chmod -R 777 <location_of_code>`
(re)start the webserver.

Sure, setting up a website to test it out is easy, just google "setting up a lamp virtual machine" and follow what it says

i have everything until the chmod command, in which format should i present the location of the code, rn its a folder on my desktop... sorry for the stupid question

Should be relative to where you are running the command from.
so if you are in your home directory:
`chmod -R 777 Desktop/source_code/`
Beware running chmod with 777 is not great practice, but unix permissions can be a pain to setup.
