I'm wondering if there's any nice HD CRT TV. I want a CRT TV that can use personally that is also HD that can possibly output to HDMI. Do they even make modern CRTs that have HDMI out?
I don't see the point of getting an HD-CRT.
The whole point of CRTs is how they make 240p not look like shit, and HD-CRTs can't into that due having a too precise beam.

No. CRT TVs are no longer being made. That said, there was a Sony CRT TV that was 720p and had an HDMI out.
/v/ would know more, as its considered one of the holy grails of vidya.

Modern no. You can get a used sony wega trinitron that has hdmi, but it's still only 1080i.
Crt pc monitors can do 1080p, and higher, but I don't recall any with hdmi ports.

If you have the cash, and the space you could probably stack a few barco crt projectors to get even 4k resolution on a wall.

You can often find them in thrift shops or craigslist. I have a Samshit 4:3 and hate it, if I had one like your pic related I would be happy and even recommend it. But if you're looking for modern dead tech then look for a plasma.
i know they at least went up to 1080i with component
there's no advantage to component 1080i over hdmi 1080i (picture-wise), you can get hdmi > component converters
i'm pointing this out so that if you find one with only up to component, don't dismiss it

i mixed this around, i mean they'll look the same
the CRT itself is analog one way or another, so even if it has hdmi built in, it's going to be converted to analog RGB either way

The one thing I hate about these TVs is that the edges and corners of the image are always distorted slightly. They are also no longer made so there's no telling what the condition of a used one is in.
