Currently using Ubuntu 16.04 and Windows 10. I wanna go full OPSEC and I need some help. I'm using a VPN and TOR to browse on the web torrent all that shit. So tell me what are some other ways to protect myself from the NSA

I've had my camera covered on my laptop for over a year now. What else do I need to do? I know at a certain point I can't escape the NSA. I'm alright with that. But how to I not leave myself so vulnerable.
Willing to change OS's disconnect my hardware mic so that when I wanna speak to someone I just pug my headset or earbuds in.

That's not wrong but it is misleading. Attacking a machine by planting malicious firmware is a very difficult thing to do. Unless he's being individually targeted he doesn't have to worry about it. Even if he is, he has lines of defense ahead of that. Your argument is a bit like saying "Well, [Russia, China, Israel, etc] has nukes, better not bother having a military or any defense at all, they can just blow us away"

Grab a laptop desktop motherboard thats (libre||core)bootable second hand with cash, flash that shit, and run a 100% libre setup from the feet up. Tor through a VPN (i think thats the right layering) connection. Have bitorrent seeding and downloading to prevent traffic analysis. Full disk encryption. Minimize attack surfaces as much as possible.

Exactly what precautions can I take? Not being targeted but I just don't like the feeling of my home life being monitored. My house is wrapped in Cameras theres a log of every door and window in my house being open and closed. But the shit part of that is that I use that very same protection for myself. But I'm not gonna leave myself vulnerable within my tech. Just wanting to take that extra step and have that comfort
