Why is redhat doing this?
Are they actively trying to destroy linux?

There's nothing wrong with a modular approach you fucking shit idiot, ever tried to scale up some software or debug a something that uses 6 different libraries?

You mean doing things the right way?
Static libraries? Fucking finally, dynamic are fucking shit and were only made to save up drive space when 120MB cost more than 128GB of RAM now

Once docker started getting news coverage they scrambled to come up with a similar product. It's the same problem with ubuntu and their snappy hard on. Before you know it linux is going to be just like windows with stand alone installers and each program wanting to individually update.
All these container projects are designed to solve the portability problem. Close sourced software developers can't be troubled to make separate packages for each major distro. The whole thing looks like a backdoor and exploit nightmare.
With opensource portability isn't as much of an issue because you can always compile yourself. Learn to compile yourself and be ready to transition to arch or gentoo.
