Nope, I have my SSID broadcast turned off. It's a simple SSID and I know the password.
I also have a guest network SSID that is visible and on it's own VLAN segregated from my true LAN (and limited to only 250mbps max bandwidth). So if I have friends staying over they can still access the internet without me having to let them onto my private network.

any station in promiscuous mode can read the broadcasts for your SSID anyway. disabling this literally does nothing.

besides making it invisible to 95% of people since they wont be searching for networks with promiscuous mode.
It's still got WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption, so it's not like i've got anything to worry about it. It's just an added layer of obfuscation from normies attempting to snoop.

HAHA how do they cope with that!?!?

it's 1/4 of what's available.

you're autistic, aren't you?

Considering i've got a segregated VLAN for my guests at my house I thought that was rather obvious from the start.

BROADCAST

You have a strong password, that is all you need. For anyone to 'snoop' they would find it regardless. You do literally nothing but try to look smart and make it more of a pain in the ass to use.
Not to mention, now that you attached to a hidden network all of your devices will constantly be probing for it.
>>62155368
why would I stop people connecting to my honeypot?
>>62155368
Hiding your SSID is placebo-tier "security" bullshit. The only thing that matters is WPA2 with a strong password.
MAC address blocking, hidden SSID; all of it is useless bullshit.

Wpa2 is already compromised.
Network Security is a même.
>>62155817
yea its compromised you can perform bruteforce attack or some awesome new attack with 2**254 keyspace
Just make the max broadcast area only within your house
