It's gonna be a rough few months, but I think Firefox will remain the best in the end. Major addon devs will have to rewrite their addons for the new format, and then things should mostly go back to normal.
At the moment I'm using Firefox Nightly, sending in bug reports when needed, trying to help things go more smoothly.

Nightly is not production software. It's bleeding edge with a _promise_ of bugs.

The actual working version of firefox is not compatible with the majority of add-ons that make browsing the web safe and tolerable. This incompatibility is essentially a broken feature. Firefox can't add-ons right now which makes it no better than someone's lightweight meme browser, but this time its bloated and slow with no benefits.
>>62151145
old add-ons still work with waterfox. They've planned on supported the old ones.

Oh shit nigger, it's time to use a terminal based web browser like Links2.

Last I checked, the ones marked 'legacy' were still enabled and working just fine. On Nightly you get legacy addons disabled, and you can manually edit about:config to stop this from happening if necessary. If Stable is now disabling legacy addons, you can fix that in about:config, but I haven't heard of it happening.

use netrunner :^)

Just revert the nofunallowed patches and build your own Palemoon.
