Is there any terminal program that can show live cryptocurrency charts?
probably not but this is good enough: https://www.gdax.com/trade/BTC-USD

Create your own in python

But why? You can't even display box plots accurately enough in a cli environment.
A cli script for tracking the worth of your portfolio is the only thing I can imagine the cli being usefull for with trading.

Well okay. What's a good cli script for tracking my portfolio's value? Seems good
you have a pixel graphical screen and you're just casting characters on it? what a waste

I don't know of any and haven't made any. Personally I track my portfolio and check charts on the go with Blockfolio, use the charts on the exchange while trading and keep eyes on the market with coinmarketcap.
I don't see any reason to actively develop my own tools while there are plenty available already. I can use that time better for reading whitepapers and news anyway.

Nah , I have a project of mine using a kindle and a terminal graph on xterm would have been great.
excel plus add in "stock connector"
