I'm looking for the cheapest 60-64GB SSD possible from Aliexpress, anyone here bored enough to help?

The cheapest one i could find is a 2.5" "Goldenfir" one for $27 with free shipping that supposedly reaches SATA3 speeds. Reliability is not an issue, this SSD is pretty much for windows, ms office and CSGO only.

And in two week they will shit out the ZS3 hybrids and the ZSR. At this point im just going to wait a month and buy them all together for half the price, KZ's strategy relies on luring you to buy one new cheap IEM each month and before you realize it you have already spent 100 bucks on their stuff

Full review time:

6/10 meh, but work

-Batt life 3-4 hours holds true
-50% of the time when it first connects it is glitchy, and drops the connection, but reconnecting it resolve the issue
-range is good
-very enngrish
pronunces phone as "thot" so it says "thot connected"
"thot disconnected"
when low on battery it just says "please charging" twice, and on the 3rd time it disconects
-rubber USB protector fell off first use
-does sound clearer, and better than when wired in

I got these for work so I dont have to deal with wires between myself, and my phone.
and when riding my bike. they work great for that, and on a full charge last me most of the day with a 1 hour charge at lunch.

kinda glitchy, but if you can get over the few problems they are okay.

only real issue is that somestimes they connection is crappy, and interrupts.

>>
>>62131250
It depends on your country. Some let everything though without checking, some will open every single parcel from outside the EU (assuming you're from the EU)
I'm in the UK and I ordered a tablet form China and I didn't even get hit with customs
The only time I've been hit with customs is with ordering stuff from the US from private sellers who put on the real value for insurance
The real bastard thing with customs charges is that the actual VAT is like £1.50 but then it's a £8 HMRC processing fee then a £5 parcelforce processing fee

Could be. Whatever it is, they made a raspberry pi, the design is open source. Now three things to check: chips may not all be original, passive components may be poor quality, and soldering may be shit. All in all, I'd rather get an original raspberry pi myself.

By buying one and checking it yourself. I'm afraid there's no other way, the pictures show an "official" Rpi 3, the seller will obviously claim it's original, and there's only one review on it which doesn't really help.

You can always ask for a refund if it's not original, or make up any kind of excus to get one.

I Thought it was gonna be shit, but i bought it anyway, because it was about 2 dollars for a player, and it took micro SD

I ordered it in early February 2017, and in march it arrived

My initial feeling was that the player felt awful to hold in the hand, it was so lightweight it felt like the cheapest player ever made.

i tried this player with a variety of headphones:
>MDR-V6
The player surprisingly enough drove the MDRs up to a pretty loud volume, that being said audio quality was comparable to a shitty school computer's front headphone output, it had a crunchy and crusty sort of sound to it. not an ideal headphone/player pairing
Also the 3.5mm jack on the MDRs was heavier than the entire player, so that felt awkward
>koss Porta Pro
the porta pros were a better pairing than the MDRs but the porta pros still highlighted that crunchy/crusty sound that this player seemed to output
>Cheap JVC earbuds (i dont actually know the model but they were 6 dollars on sale at walmart, they're my "beater earbuds")
This was the best headphone/player pairing because the shittiness of the earbuds masked some of the inadequacies of the player, it sounded almost acceptable

Additionally the player had a RED LED that turns on when the player is on, which illuminates the inside of the player. it makes it really spooky to look at

I used a 64gb microsd card, and i didnt max it out with music, i cant say how it would react to it

You have a few options for transferring music onto it, transferring to the microsd via the mini usb port, or by transferring straight to the microsd

i tried a few different albums
>lil b - Hoop life
>Skinny Puppy - VIVIsectVI
>Laibach - Opus Dei

And the player played the albums in alphabetical order, organized by album.
also this player doesn't have a shuffle feature, so you cant just load it up like an iPod shuffle and let it go.

honestly in my time using it before it broke, i just left it in my car and let it play occasionally

Also i found out there is a neat alternative feature to this player that isn't advertised and i think it may be a defect, but it can also be used as a usb audio device. Yes when i plugged in the usb cable into the unit, it registered as a audio device in windows and it totally works. i didn't have to install drivers or anything it was strange

Yes i broke it. for some reason the 3.5mm output was fucking up and would only output audio if it was held in a certain way, so i took the thing apart and tried to make it work by pushing the pins for the 3.5mm output into place, but that didnt work.

so i ended up gutting it and putting it on my gunpla shelf, as a relic, a guardian if you will

paypal always refunds money. new sellers always undercut competition. established sellers on Ali always raise prices and tack on shipping charges after they've reached #1 spot for the # of sales.
>>
>>62135557
I think the battery came shipped partially charged, it ran out of juice after about 4 hours, then i charged it up once overnight, and it didn't die again

im honestly surprised that i only had to charge it once, but i maybe got 6 to 8 hours total of playback out of it before it broke

I gave my Hi8 Pro to my brother and he hadn't used it for a few weeks
He went to use it and it's completely dead. I plugged in the charger and nothing at all after 10 minutes.
Is it safe to assume it's completely dead?
>>
>>62137973
if the battery was dead when it was left for a couple of weeks there is a good change the charging circuitry isnt being able to trickle charge the battery onto normal charging level, or that the battery is kaput. only way to know fo sho is opening it up nd try to "trickle" charge the battery manually (unless its swollen up)
>>
>>62138070
it isn't swollen, my charger is starting to get warm, and the back of the tablet is getting warm, but not as warm as it would usually be
I'll leave it for a bit longer with a window open just in case it decides to set on fire
If another 20 minutes plugged in doesn't help and I live, I'll open it up and trickle charge it. I assume that's just disconnecting the battery from the mobo, and connecting a 3.7 volt power supply at under 500mAh?
>>
>>62137103
the h8 is amazing, you wont be disappointed
you can also change its firmware to fly in acro mode
and its motors are powerful enough to fly with an FPV camera as well

charging controller, just before the battery, might be busted, can you read the output of it with a multimeter?
>I'll open it up and trickle charge it. I assume that's just disconnecting the battery from the mobo, and connecting a 3.7 volt power supply at under 500mAh?
no, for lithium batteries "trickle" charging it from completely empty needs to be done at very low current to avoid catastrophic battery damage. not to mention that you cant overcharge it, so you would need to continue monitor it unless you have the proper power supply to do all those things

doesn't matter now
I was looking at the Chuwi forums and someone there said press the power button 3 times then hold it, and that should force it to boot if there is any charge

Don't be fooled, there is not counterfeit of RPIs, their profit margin is not worth it. And more importantly Broadcom only sell those CPUs in very large quantities. As far as I know the raspberry pi foundation is the only client that Broadcom has for those chips.

Ordered some PBT keycaps from aliexpress today. First time I've ever ordered something from China.

Should I expect to have to pay the mailman cash on delivery for duties? I had to do that when I imported a custom rosary this year. It was annoying because they don't take debit and I only use prepaid cards to order online. So I have to tell the mail man to come again the next day and go to the bank and get money. I don't want to do that.
>>
>>62138405
but why pay that much when you can get a much better development board for a lot less nowadays?
>>
>>62138417
Rereading the post, it says it should just have the power LED flash. Mine ended up turning on. Don't really care why it happened the way it did, just glad it works now
>>
>>62138424
I'm sorry you live in such a shit country.
Move to America where shipping is free, there's no tax, duties, VAT, etc, and if the mailman asks you for money you call the police and have him arrested.
>>
>>62133660
They point at the housing with zero piping to the earpiece though. So you don't get to hear them. They are literally there just to make a bullet point.
>>
>>62138440
Well, that's a completely different topic. The advantages of having a RPI are mainly the community support. If you consider yourself a Linux expert, have a lot of experience with embedded devices, arm troubleshooting, or simply enjoy searching for hours in Russian or Chinese forums. Then yes, you should consider another development SBC.
>>
>>62138539
I agree with him.
Got an Odroid C1, which obviously has a much smaller community.
A lot of issues which you have to solve yourself, but it's kind of fun, you learn a lot of stuff during the process.
It really depends on your needs.
If you just want a kodi box, it doesn't matter what board you'll choose, they'll all be fine.
If you really want to use it to it's full potential, you might want to take the board with the community to make your life easier, unless you like tinkering.

Got a pair of Aukey EP-C2s from Aliexpress (12 dollars Canadian) today. I've had it for about 3 hours now. I couldn't find the link to it, might have been removed (or the price just went up).

The earphones seem durable enough. I'm pretty sure the piece in the middle is machined out of metal, though the rest of the body is plastic. These earphones don't have any cable reliefs near splits/connections though, which makes me a bit concerned. The fit is relatively good enough. You might need to adjust a few times if you move your head around, and the sound seems to tunnel if they start to come off.

As for sound quality, the bass and treble is fantastic. They're probably about an 8/10, which is impressive considering they're pretty cheap. The mids are alright (about a 6.5/10 in my opinion), but a little messing around on an EQ will fix it. I don't think these need an amp; they get loud enough on my phone (I own a Oneplus 3). Overall, the sound quality is above average; though the soundscape is not very good when compared to headphones or more expensive earphones.

These took me 3 weeks to arrive which is actually pretty good for Ali express. You might get them much faster on amazon for only a few dollars more.

Build Quality: 6.5/10
Fit: 6/10
Sound: 8/10

Checking in with my vivo xe800 buds. Bought them in February, use them daily and they work just fine.
A week ago I noticed that there's some green shit on the left earbud, no idea where that came from. Corrosion perhaps? The other one looks fine though.
Mic works pretty well, I have held plenty of conversations on discord with them and as others have said it sounds fine, often there's someone with a worse sounding mic on desktop so it's good to know it's not shit.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with them. Bass is a bit weak coming from the phone, haven't had the opportunity to try them with an amp. The shape is super comfy to listen to asmr in bed.

the ones im seeing have either a celeron or atom cpu, and the 4gb of ram... it does have a 1080p panel and its alright for its price, but for $50 more i bet you could get a name brand laptop locally with better specs and with proper warranty.
>>
>>62145012
Jumper EZBook Pro 3 is better. Much better build quality because the Chuwi laptops have shit cooling and you need to mod them with a copper shim and thermal pad to make it bearable.

If you can stretch your budget get the EZBook Plus 3, it has an SSD and a Core M processor. There's a coupon in the hot deals section of the /csg/ discord.

Get a used thinkpad for the same price. Much better value.

any way to fix this?

Contact support, but they're retarded and either won't understand your problem, or it will take too long to matter.

Actually I am. I've got the Xiaomi Hybrids when they released and now I got my second IEM.
Well, I hope the ZS6 isn't a huge leap, I don't want to buy a new one so soon.
>>
>>62145346
it's really not expensive considering the price of competitors from Superlux and Takstar/ISK. The pads are hand stitched and the build quality is great so for the asking price you're getting a lot for your cash compared to local.
>>

Just MHO but for me it wouldn't be worth it. I was bought a german one a few years back, was about £40 I think and even though I've not used it for abiut 2 years it's still razor sharp, and no rust anywhere on the blade.

I have a feeling the cheap Chinese steel won't hold an edge as well, and rust pretty easily.
