Why is LVM so beautiful?
No dumb position based partitioning is a blessing, I can enlarge or shrink the LVM group however I fucking please by absorbing unrelated standard partitions.
Compartmentalization is the future.
Though for the life of me I still don't get what arcane magic enabled something like thin provisioning to work, it would also be nice if I fucking understood how to exactly use it.

How do imagine this has anything with LVM to do?

whoa
i cant upgrade my arch distro because i don't have enough spaces and moving all the partition swill take a day

Interesting, didn't know that LVM could do that. I don't really see myself having any real use for it either, though.
That being said, I don't see why this would require any arcane magic. It's just allocate-on-demand, just like filesystems do with sparse files.

how do I install this Expert Partitioner under Arch?
>>62122809
Unless you got clients you're serving then you don't really need thin provisioning, but other aspects of LVM are quite neat for home users, like snapshots and the ability to resize volumes however you want.

Congratulations on just finding out about partitioning a disk

You don't, arch is CLI only.

Definitely, and I use those features extensively myself.
