Do people studying CS outside ivy schools ever attend those childish events in their first weeks? You don't get that shit in ivy schools because they're doing the smart thing which is showing you around the campus and that's it. Then there are clubs you can join.

Ivy is overrated for undergrad. It's literally like any other school except the campuses and people are better. I'm going to MIT for CS (I only picked MIT over Harvard because the social life at Harvard is t r a s h and Stanford because South California is also t r a s h) and it doesn't feel like what society's hyped it up to be. I feel let down and deceived.
