Wasn't sure which board to ask this on but this one seems most appropriate.
What do you think of conversion courses for Computer Science?
I've done my undergrad in a Non-STEM subject but would like to learn to code and get some sort of either software engineering or system admin job (mostly because they're much more future-proof than my undergrad field and because they're more likely to allow me to work remotely or move abroad).
I'm just worried that this kind of 1 year course might not be able to teach me enough to get a job afterwards? I'm also not sure how these courses are viewed by the industry.
The Universities themselves seem to suggest that people get tech jobs after doing them, some even with Microsoft, Google etc but I'm not sure whether I can trust them.
A couple examples of what I'm talking about:

(Disclaimer, I'm in the UK so could afford to study there but unfortunately not in the US)

Nope, uni is paid for and I'm not in a position to dish out another 50000 pounds for a second undergrad.
