I'm an actual photographer and you have no idea what you're talking about.
Just look at the detail on the cheeks, that's not sharpening, that detail is simply not in the first image. No amount of sharpening can make those lines come up.
Also as a whole for a workflow, we don't want blurry photos with no fine detail, you can hide noise, you can't recover fine detail.
Not that any of this matters for a phone.

Lumia 1020 probably still rules. 950 has less optical quality and just uses the same fugly filtering like all other phones to make up for the deficiency.
