I got into fixed gear cycling, 2 group rides a week, one social, one quick and spontaneous rides often when someone just messages me to see if im keen for a spin.

The social ones great cause we stop in at a bunch of different pubs and get progressively drunker and drunker.

But I think just find a hobby that is expansive and satisfies your desire to tinker, for me personally I need a pretty indepth hobby. Previously I worked on my cars but theyre all pretty much finished atm.

It isn't that hard. In my mind work shit is completely separated from anything in my private life. Once I'm out of the building it's completely out of mind, I pretty much never think about work in any fashion when I'm at home, as such it doesn't interfere with anything I program for fun/personal use. Work is just a time allotment which gets me money to live and enjoy my life.
