How is that a fanless desktop replacement? It runs a dual core CPU at 1GHz and has no discrete GPU. A desktop replacement is a laptop that makes minimal compromises from desktop performance while still being in laptop form. The MacBook is nothing but performance compromises.

Then they don't need a desktop or a desktop replacement, what they need is a fucking laptop. Your phone doesn't magically become a desktop replacement because all you do is post on facebook.

If it's replacing your desktop let's say for more then the half of the time, then it's a desktop replacement, since you are using a more optimized tools for your use cases. That a "real" desktop is more powerful and cheaper considering output is common sense. But why buy a not comfy racing car when you drive below speed limit all the time anyways?
