I own one. It was pretty awesome up until 3 months ago. You're gonna want to make sure to purchase an extended warranty if they offer it in Canada. Mine is currently suffering from a dying battery and the tablet's glue is failing so the screen is slowly detaching and bulging out around the edges.
It's just under two years old and my extended warranty covers me until November, so I'm trying to wait until the thing dies completely before I get it replaced.
The thing is a cool piece of engineering but it is fairly weird, and nothing else like it really exists. As a result there's a lot of issues and random glitches people report with the Surface Book, many of which have no solutions except to get a replacement from MS.

That 25% failure rate I'm almost 100% sure is based on self - reporting, nor does it specify the product. I want to make my life as easy as possible, and this will provide me with that experience.
