/pol/ likes it because of Brendan Eich. It's an interesting browser that I hope improves as it matures, but the integrated adblocking isn't as good as extensions, which it doesn't support at.

It's mostly just /pol/ finally realizing "oh shit I shouldn't use Chrome!" like five years too late because they're fucking dumb as shit and then finding something made by people who align best with their political beliefs. It's not worth using on desktop right now.

Also, it integrated ABP and not uBO which means it's blocking performance is shit and it won't even block everything it should. Ads will slip through and so will tracking elements. It also doesn't support addons. In all honesty Firefox is just better.

It's basically the future best browser. It's designed for privacy from the start, is faster than Chrome, and has a great clean and compact UI. It's made by the founder of Mozilla and the founder of JavaScript after he got kicked out of Mozilla by SJWs.

The shields system with it is great. It gives you cookie blocking, HTTP everywhere, fingerprint protections, script blocking, and ad blocking all in one place.

You have to understand though that it's in an early state and is still in beta. It's missing some features and is a bit unstable. That'll improve over time.

I'd rather advice to keep using a better browser until Brave has improved. If it ever will.

Keep in mind the core idea behind Brave initially was ad replacement. They block ads and show your their own ads instead. Claiming the money would go towards content-creators and even a bit to the users.
