Transmission has annoyingly slow connection time. For me it takes like 5 minutes to connect, while using qbittorrent it takes a few seconds. Don't know if it's a bug or something.

qBittorrent always worked for me, the search engine is pretty neat, transmission has one too? if not, qBittorrent across all platforms no question about it.

what do you mean? I noticed a difference in magnet data downloading between transmission and qbittorrent but maybe it's because I'm using transmission on raspbian (low performance/write speed). anyway nothing that lasts for 5 minutes. maybe 20 seconds max and then it starts downloading
