What is the best Bittorrent Client and why?
>>62064362
qbittorrent
just use it and don't ask why, it just works
you're probably gonna fall for a open source meme bittorrent but whatever
>>62064362
if you are on windows use qbittorrent
if you are on linux/macos use transmission
I use transmission and it’s pretty gud
>>62064362
Transmission or rtorrent.
>>62064362
/g/ told me deluge a few years ago, been happy with it ever since
>>62064362
qbittorrent. Don't fall for the stalled memes. Simple, light and includes a search engine
transmission, or tixati for windows (I don't care if it's proprietary it just works, and it's on windows anyways).
>>62064362
Rtorrent on my home server simply because of rss and torrent auto update in rutorrent.
qBittorrent

>>62064412
suppurts these gentlemets
qtransmission for linux
Tiny, fast, and does exactly what it needs to do. No fluff.
>>62064491
Deluge is great. All the features, clean interface, and no bloat
deluge or rtorrent
bittorrent.
it's purple.
>>62064739
But does it have this feature
>>62064859
not even a chuckle
I use transmission-qt on windows. It is not perfect, but I hate the bloated mess the others have become
>>62064928
>6.22MiB
>bloated
>>62064362
rtorrent if you want a great CLI and programmable torrent client. The scripting language is fucking weird, but it's pretty nice overall.
>>62064976
>>62064976
It is on windows. Or at least the interface is.
>>62065018
>Wangblows
There's your problem
>>62065030
Funny you
>>62065055
>installer for windows is 18MiB
By that logic you could say it's more bloated for linux, seeing as all dependencies add up to 580.77MiB
All other torrent clients are holding back information and limiting control over individual peers.
Also it has a discentralized link-sharing channel.
>>62065067
Forgot pic
>>62065067
Alright, I was mistaken. The interface is still all over the place.
>>62065162
>can hide any column
>properly organized menus/options
>useful features, with 0 unnecessary information
No it isn't nigger. If you want only the file you're downloading, size and progress, use (S)FTP/HTTP(S) and stop being a nigger.
>>62065211
Can't hide the sidebar though. Piece of shit software, I'd rather use utorrent
>>62065230
You were saying?
>>62064362
rTorrent > qBitTorrent > Deluge > Transmission
Anything else is not acceptable and/or a botnet/malware
>>62065437
qbittorrent and deluge both have cli options, and even webui. The only GUI option for rtorrent is written in Java
>>62065236
It's still there, you just made it very small
>>62065687
>minimize firefox
>it's still there, you just made it very small
>>62064362
deluge-web
delugesiphon plugin
thank me later
>>62064502
>includes a search engine
I am using it for a long time and have never found this. Where is it?
>>62065817
I didn't know about this either. I usually just used https://searx.me/
Should i even bother seeding if my max up speed is 50KiB/s?
And if i should why my qbittorrent stops uploading after 30-60 minutes i start it?
>>62064435
Transmission has annoyingly slow connection time. For me it takes like 5 minutes to connect, while using qbittorrent it takes a few seconds. Don't know if it's a bug or something.
Deluge
>>62064362
Transmission
The best one: uTorrent 2.2.1
http://www.oldversion.com/windows/utorrent-2-2-1-2
I like ktorrent because KDE is kool
qBittorrent always worked for me, the search engine is pretty neat, transmission has one too? if not, qBittorrent across all platforms no question about it.
>>62066441
>it takes like 5 minutes to connect
what do you mean? I noticed a difference in magnet data downloading between transmission and qbittorrent but maybe it's because I'm using transmission on raspbian (low performance/write speed). anyway nothing that lasts for 5 minutes. maybe 20 seconds max and then it starts downloading
>>62065230
Dude you're the ice crem kid! wtf you can clip all the sidebar off the screen, qBittorrent owns all other torrent clients!
deluge all the way
>>62064362
deluge
because it does not suck
has proxy shit built in
no ads
lightweight
works
>>62065487
What does GUI have to do with anything?
