I've actually really liked SF Mono on OSX. With the right settings in MacType for Windows it looks decent as well. If I get a higher ppi monitor it'll look pretty close to what I expect.

my main dev setup at work and home has always been just putty with tmux, so I could never be bothered to make pcf versions or whatever the fuck mac uses for bitmap fonts.

it's little more than a hybrid of the 6px wide ProFont and Windows Terminal size 6 (made 9px tall so the bottoms of 'g's didn't but against the tops of 'E's/'F's, double story 'a' to better differentiate from 'o', etc.) so it wasn't exactly a big endeavor.

What is a good bitmap font which will display anime moon runes nicely together with terminus?

I am kind of new to GNU Linux, but i am hoping you can help me with fonts.
I don't really care about terminal, but is there anything we can do about making fonts look better on Linux. I have some projects where I need Dashboards up on a 63cm screen, but compared to windows the fonts look blurry as.

I am currently using both Deja Vu Sans Mono and Terminus.

Does anyone know what font xterm uses by default? It looks close to Terminus, but I get a much better render of Japanese characters with xterm than by using Terminus directly.
