What's the best way to block Windows programs from accessing the internet/network?
I used ZoneAlarm interactive firewall in the past to do this. It would popup asking if I wanted to let "Program.exe" access the internet or block it. But ZoneAlarm is no longer good freeware.

You can make appropriate rules in the built-in firewall to block applications you don't want to go online. Don't need anything 3rd party for that.

Tinywall.

Have to use Windows only programs.

I see that but it's a lot of hassle to find all programs and add rules in.
Then there are services that run in background that need to be blocked.
