OpenRC vs Systemd
install gentoo

I'm not even mad that systemd exists. I just wish that more distros would have alternate versions that didn't have systemd

openrc's parallel boot works fine for me
runit
I would really like to know if OpenRC is actually ok, or because it's the only solid systemd replacement in lacking ecosystem full of obsolete crap.
I tried the options to start services in parallel, but it did not cut much (~3s from 30s boottime, HDD), it sounds redundant on SSD where it boots in few seconds anyway. I'm not starting my computer 50 times a day and something like docker distro images are even more lightweight. idk why it matters.
Systemd causes issues on OpenBSD's vm supervisor (early development), OpenRC distros work fine.

The only correct answer.
Install Void.
