Both of them are old stuff which I don't recommend buying for a new build.
If I had to choose depending on price I would take the i5 because MOBOs for the i7 are socket 1366 and are much more rare and expensive.
If the price for the MOBO + CPU for both is the same, I would take the i7 because it will perform better + the i7 is unlocked so you can overclock it.
