botnet?
How do you think they're making all that money to plant trees? They're selling your data.
if a company has a logo like that, it's gotta be a botnet

yes
Useful botnet.
Like Google but not as malicious but still is.

incorrect, it's based on advertisers paying to be on their website

this
i wouldn't care about it being a botnet if it's actually helping the environment

If this is true then I don't see why it'd be bad. This is the new default in Pale Moon, right?
Most unbotnet as always is "host your own"

I'm using it to ween myself off Google services. I'm down to one Gmail account and I use YouTube without signing in and I limit the scripts with NoScript. General rule is that if it isn't open source and it isn't running on your computers locally, it's botnet. There are varying degrees of botnet you have to sort through it and decide for yourself if running some non-free JavaScript or a non-free program is an acceptable risk to take. Most things are ok but websites like Facebook have been proven over and over to just be massive surveillance engines. Most botnet sites and services are actually ok to use as long as you don't sign in and you block usage and diagnostic scripts from running. Examples of this are 4chan and YouTube. You should always clear your cookies after using either of them and set your browser to not save history.

I planted a shit ton of trees with ecosia, but I got tired. I switched back to Google and occasionally use duckduckgo when Google does something very jewish.
