Android runs the kernel, it does not run an actual distro since the kernel is restricted with proprietary hardware, firmware, modules, and software.

Are you unironically running Linux on your fucking dedicated alarm clock? kek, that's pretty bloat.

I keep Windows on a small partition on my laptops in order to update the firmware for the motherboards and SSDs.
>>
>>62000854
It still isn't Linux. You might as well be running a proprietary kernel considered all the proprietary shit that's mixed on top of Linux on Android. Even custom ROMs and removal of the Google ecosystem doesn't fix firmware reliance.

kernal is a derivative of linux therefore is linux

>>
>>62001084
Should've specified. He seems to have used Arch-Anywhere for installation and I don't know how their config works but it seems like a generic theme with host/username highlights coming from the shell. IMO It's the trashiest thing to have a shell use color indicators for commands since it gives you a bad habit.

Some gaymur kiddie sold me the CPU, 16GB of some gayman RAM, a MB, and a 212 for $130.
However, that was a year ago.

Two.

Both are headless Virtualbox VM's that i use over SSH with Putty and Xming for development.

Using Linux as a primary OS on any consumer device is a complete waste of time.
>>
>>62001393

>>62001346
Seems like a fair price anon. But is it worth it? The heat, the power draw. I mean, you could silence it a bit and use it as a cheapo server/htpc if you don't have one already. Hell, even a gift for someone but I don't see any use for an FX processor these days when quadcores are faster. Maybe a headless storage server?

2 Phones, 2 Raspberry, 1 DVR (a Dreambox 8000 afaik a Xilinx Spartan FPGA running Enigma), my router (maybe, I'm not sure).

So either 6 or 5 devices.

The Dreambox was a conscious decision against some bigger brands that have the downside of being proprietary and hiding their interna or especially the recordings. At the time when I bought it, a Dreambox 8000 was rather expensive, but this was (or is) a completely open system.
