IRC: #studygroup on irc.rizon.net

Imagined as a study group for people who don't have study groups irl, and who are not doing that great academically. Everybody is welcome to come and hang out, pitch in, get advice, and stay for the work atmosphere, not just people from EE or people who stuggle.

>IRC client?
There's millions. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_Relay_Chat_clients
Maybe the quickest to try out would be Chatzilla. Install it, open it, type
/server irc.rizon.net
/join #studygroup
and voila.

If you think this idea sucks, could you tell me why? I don't get it.

aint giving my ip for try, nice try CIA

Lol, yeah. Illegal study group honey pot. So far, OP and one other silent guy connected.

I guess this idea is inherently destined to fail, because it's imagined for brainlets and failures. And to gather those, those people first need to admit that they are failing academically, and then do something about it. But if they were willing to do something, they would have already done it, and they wouldn't be failures. I guess. I'm different when it comes to that tho, I always want to do something about it, and I'll do anything for about a week at times. Thought something like this would hold me accountable for longer.

C'mon fags, semestar is right around the corner, let's help each other.

Discord seems better suited for this. I'm in a couple of physics/maths channels and having a LaTeX bot is extremely useful when discussing maths related topics.
>>
>>61999432
I have never used Discord in my life, but you're the second one suggesting it over IRC. If anybody wants to make Discord channel, I'll join no prob, but I can't man it since I have no idea how.
>>
>>61999432
They are many bots for IRC to render LaTeX.
>>
I don't think means of communication really matters, but we can do either or both, doesn't really matter. You're free to join and ask for admin rights if you want to implement a bot like that, I don't really know how.
>>
Well im a EE student so im kinda in
>>
>>61999621
Join and stick around a bit. People keep connecting and disconnecting, so the channel is always empty.

Thanks a lot for the ebook link.

Seems easy to me

You're welcome! Got more if you need it, but in my experience, if libgen doesn't have it, nobody does.

But if you need it:

Seems like a perfect fit for /g/

I hoped so, but alas.

We got 3 online tho, so it's a start.

I'm just monitoring it for potential copytight infringements so don't count me.
