Is robotics engineering a meme degree? Would I be better off sticking to a more general electrical/electronics engineering degree?

A meme is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture.

If you really think you'll get sound advice here then I don't think you're even capable of getting such degrees.
>>
>>61996380
Yep
anything with robotics has been a meme since the 90s
>>
>>61996390
Okay Hideo. I meant is it a useless degree that will lead to no career prospects?

In the USA there is no degree in "robotics engineering", at least not one from an ABET school. Robotics is a multi-discipline field. People tend to get a degree in either electrical engineering or mechanical engineering and fill in the gaps with electives. It helps if your school does research in robotics, then you will have relevant faculty and electives.

Asking help from an anime imageboard is pretty dumb imo. You should check out the websites of companies that do work in the fields of robotics...see what types of people they are looking to hire. For example:

https://www.bostondynamics.com/jobs

I'm sure there are other great sites for robotics professionals and hobbyist that would be better (robotics.stackexchange) which you could find using an internet search engine.

Of course things might be different outside of the USA. Still, /g/ really isn't the best source on this one anon.

Good luck.

I'll come back when you're less grumpy.
