If Mozilla copied the Chrome API with no change there wouldn't be a chance. Fortunately they want to implement extra functionality including hiding the tabs bar. I'm not sure if they'll make it to 57, but it will probably be implemented some time in the future.

Hiding the tab bar will be possible in the near future.
Vertical tab addons already exist but they are still lacking polish.
Addon icons can be added next to the url bar.
I don't think you can add a bookmark folder directly on the toolbar but you can have a single bookmarks button.

Why the fuck do you need zoom on the toolbar? What's wrong with keyboard shortcuts?
