The only reason I need a music player is in my car but every single interface to actually listen to it (FM broadcast, wire->tape deck, etc) is fucking shit and full of noise. bought my sansa clip for 40€ 4 months ago, flac support, awesome UI, really minimalist, you can volume up to the point your ears explode. Just install rockbox on it. Don't know about the one on the right. I assume it also supports flac, the only pro i could see over the sansa would be the ability to view album covers on it.

I want something with a small screen, small size factor and decent battery life. I already have a phone with a giant screen and a million functions, all I want my music player to do is play music.
This is what I'm looking for, but the capacity is only 4GB. What the fuck is that, we have 1TB microSD cards but the best Sony can do is 4GB?

This player was legendary and still holds a cult status. I dropped it while running for the bus and it broke.

I have the xduoo x3 and x10 myself. if they ever fix the few issues the x10 has i would recommend it. it has amazing sound for the price.

I changed the stock 5400rpm drive to a 7200rpm and threw in 8gb of ram I also had it set so the cpu+gpu would throttle way down but still enough for music playback, still today it works great but I need a new battery for it, it only hold 45% of a full charge I've since moved to a Samsung Galaxy S6 for portable audio now, as it sounds much better that the 120gb ipod classic I also had at the time

You could try taking the thing apart, extracting the flash drive bit, cloning it to a 64gb flash drive, and sticking it back in. Firmware might break and disassembling it might not even be possible, but that might be worth looking into.
But if you need more than 4GB, you probably don't want something with a form factor that tiny. Looks like a bitch to navigate through the menus.
