We need to talk about the faulty AMD X399 ROG Motherboard bracket.

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

electronic fags literally cannot screw in a screw LOL
>>
It turns out a motherboard will break if you break it
>>
>if you crank down on any CPU related screw with the force of a thousand suns, bad things happen
Is this different from any other socket ever?

Open the links in the OP. There is a manufacturing fault with a lot of the Foxconn brackets that means that when you put in the CPU the screw does not catch.

Have you tried reading more than the OP of the links in the post? The answer is right there. Foxtrot brackets have a different manual that specifies tightening each screw a little bit before fully cranking on any of them (like a normal cooler). AMD's official method works for Lotes-made brackets.

>hat specifies tightening each screw a little bit before fully cranking on any of them

It is not even possible to get the first screw to catch at all though?

buy the poo, clean the loo

>not tightening screws evenly in a cross pattern
It's like DIY 101, kiddies that don't know this deserve to break their stuff

I guarantee you wouldn't be able to close one of these faulty brackets. The guy in the Youtube tried for an hour, then had several technicians try and close the bracket but still couldn't close it.

Put the shart in mart.
