This happened 10 minutes after launch. The cuck bundles are still mostly in stock. Of course, the alternative is that there's no bundles, and all the Vega GPUs sell out in 11 minutes instead of 10.

Don't worry, all altcoins are in a massive bubble due to Bitcoin's bubble (remember they're all tied to BTC... lol). There will be a market correction soon and you'll see panic selling of mining hardware on ebay and craigslist.

Why are people even buying the reference coolers? Aren't they loud as fuck and only meant for compatibility with OEMs? Can the single fan even keep the card cool?
>>
>>61918504
I thought aftermarket coolers only work on reference cards as well?
>>
>>61918536
I doubt that many people are watercooling. But you have a point, outside of the really premium top binned stuff the aftermarket is mostly for the reference board.

>>
>>61913946
Artificial scarcity. Only the most diehard fanboy would buy that shit.
>>
>>61918723
I doubt it's artificial scarcity, I think they just don't have a lot of cards.
>>
As long as they go for the 64's all is good.
And maybe even if they buy up all the 56's, maybe the prices of the 1070 and 1080 will go down a bit due to some competition.
I wanted a 56 but I sure as hell won't bitch if a get a 1070 or 1080 for a decent price.
>>
>>61918691
If you were going for Vega? Probably, the 1700x is a great CPU but I would recommend waiting for v56 since it seems like the better card
>>
>>61913946
twice as expensive, a year later. still out of stock everywhere

amd really is breaking ground
>>
>>61914085
Wrong.
>>
>>61915704
The best part is you really arn't saving that much considering most of those parts can be found on sale for similar prices. And why would they go with the 1440 meme?

Why not a 4k monitor if I am spending $2000 on a 'bundle' that is 300 off?
>>
>>61916303
Said the /v/Irwin for the 12th time this year.

Meanwhile bitcoin has gone from $2000 up to $4300 in the same period.
>>
>>61919039
It's not the better card but it is the performance per dollar most people will likely go for. Similarly to how the 1060 and 1070 are nvidia most popular low end cards.
>>
>>61919265
>1060 and 1070 are nvidia most popular low end cards

>>
>>61919644
they don't hate the world, they just lack any sort of perspective larger than their own. They lack the iq levels to realize that mining is good for them, and can only selfishly think how they can't get what they want in the short term
>>
>>61920131
explain how mining driving up the cost of GPUs is good for someone looking to buy a GPU without spending an arm and a leg?

Has there been a comparison between the Vega 64 and the Vega Frontier Edition yet?
>>
>>61918629
The cuck bundles get bought by miners too- they just ebay the parts they don't need.
>>
>>61920201
you're just proving my point further that you can't even see the bigger picture and focus on the now. I clearly said it's good for buyers, but not in the short term. Your question is "how is it good for someone looking to buy a gpu when costs are driven up". It's not good, that's the short term because costs are temporarily driven up.
>>
>>61920227
They are the same GPU, FE gets more memory. In terms of games there exactly the same if you us the same driver. Of course FE is going to have the more compute optimized drivers by default
>>
>>61919316

Vega makes a good oven, hopefully Volta is similar.
Pair them up with a Skylake-X and you got your incinerator for tumblirinas and kikes
>>
>>61920285
It's bad for AMD. When a company looks at the steam hardware survey and decides on how much support to give to AMD and nvidia, they're thinking 'Why waste money developing for a card that no-one games on?'
Which has a knockon effect to the next generation card's launch benchmarks.
>>
>>61921540
That's not how it works, both Nvidia and AMD send out people to help optimize games for pretty much any AAA game.

Difference is, RTG is 3000 people, Nvidia is 10000 people, Nvidia sends a lot more people and also has more money.
>>
>>61921578
>RTG is 3000 people

So RTG makes less than 30% of AMD? Makes perfect sense why Zen is so fantastic compared to Vega.
>>
>>61918618
thats why I got a 980ti for 280€ exactly a year ago

exact same problem but way cheaper
>>
>>61920024

>>
>>61920226
>MSI housefire
>>
>>61921605
Vega is really-really good at what it was intended for, i.e. large datasets.
Also CPUs are much more profitable than GPUs.
>>
>>61918674
It doesn't hold up in anything other than highly optimized competitive shit, which frankly even a 970 can handle at 1080p. The 1080 would be good for 1440, though, only problem being gsuck, but if you really wanted to push 1440 you need a 1080, and even then there are a number of titles that aren't necessarily going to hit ultra@144, but it's questionable whether or not that has a great deal of purpose.

Titan XP - high end

1080 - mid range
1070 - low end

You are a gifted boy, aren't you?
>>
>>61923533

This is probably not a very serious post, but I've had a feeling for about a decade now that there's no longer just the three segments of low-, mid- and high-tier, but that we've added two more tiers on top (usually enthusiast and extreme or something similar), or at least that those edge cases are now more common than they used to be. The gap between bottom and top seems bigger to me, though.
>>
>>61923533
1060 - lower end
1050ti - more lower end
1050 - even lower end
1030 - THE lowest end

Get a grip you schizo
>>
>>61923028
So I say this because really I am planning to get a 1440p 144hz gsync for even worse, a 1070 but I figure it will be okay because I could play games on high settings, less filters and it not mattering because of the higher pixel count anyway, and just being happy with 50-60 fps in most games.
I think the way gsync works too is that lower fps will look more smooth, less screen tearing despite the lower fps.
>>
>>61920024

Mining isn't good for me because I don't do it and pay for my own electricity. Shortages because of retarded miners are bad for me because I can't buy the things I want for a reasonable price.

Memecoins are useless for anything but buying illegal drugs or services online anyway.
