>Dell makes better ThinkPads than Lenovo
>>61912021
look at all that unused space on the palm rest
they should really market it as a nifty cutting board
>>61912021
i bought a dell inspiron a long time ago and it made me swear off dell products forever
>>61912021
Wouldn't be hard.
>>61912021
I prefer Elitebooks, myself.
>>61912021
Maybe a new dell is better than a thinkpad from 3 years ago.
>>61912115
They have changed somewhat since then I know what you mean.
>>61912115
>i bought a lenovo ideapad a long time ago and it made me swear off lenovo products forever
>>61912157
you don't understand how awful it was
the entire thing was made out of plastic, including the hinges that broke
the only nice thing was the red matte cover
Can I pour water on the keyboard?
The one big problem with it: it's a Dell
>>61912157
>>61912175
They are just parroting you. These people are malicious and willing to make any bold faced lie about something they don't agree with as long as there is even the slightest chance it might seem plausible.
>>61912021
Does Dell really think they can fool me into thinking that its a ThinkPad? How stupid do they think people are?
>>61912157
Just because it was too good for you that doesn't mean it won't not be too good for someone else. Fucking commies
>>61912115
So which company makes good Laptops then? I've sworn off buying a Lenovo laptop for a really long time.
>>61912289
the answer is none
you just have to go for the lesser evil, whatever that is today
>>61912289
HP Elitebooks are pretty decent. You're gonna pay for it, though.
>>61912115
Inspiron are different from latitudes you idiot. Metal hinges and frames on their mid to high end business lines.
>>61912021
I know this is shitposting but I'm curious about the actual models in the OP. Can anyone provide a link or info?
>>61913791
reverse image search gives the following
>>61912021
The only problem with these is the single reason I can't buy anything but a ThinkPad.
They have terrible keyboards.
>>61913810
cheers
>>61913791
They're Latitudes or Precisions, which are the two corporate notebook lines.
Latitude is the notebook/ultrabook line
Precision is the workstation line (dGPU, etc.)
>>61912157
>ideapad
>bought
>as in actually paid for with money
Are you retarded or something
>it's got no graphics and it's a dual core
>mfw it's $1,500 CAD
>>61914346
You pay for quality.
I don't buy cheap shoes because they won't last more than one year.
I don't buy cheap laptops because I want them to last at least 5 years.
>>61914563
I know but if I were to buy a laptop I'd buy one that could do more than play Youtube
>>61914625
The fuck are you doing on a notebook that is more intensive than playing youtube?
Anything that I need more power for, I'm just going to do or offload it on my workstation.
If you want a workstation laptop, go for a 15/17" Precision with a Quadro, ThinkPad W/P-Series, or get a GAYMEN "laptop".
Are Dell laptops that bad?
I've got an XPS 15 and it works pretty good, I was just playing Battlefield 1 on it at 80fps with a mixture of settings. And of course everything I need to do for work with it works fine.
>>61914667
Video editing mostly. and a bit of gayming but that's mostly for my main PC which isn't really portable.
>>61914729
Their new stuff is good, but they haven't properly addressed their keyboards yet.
Stay away from anything that isn't XPS/Latitude/Precison
