I know this may be hard to swallow, but AMD processors are prices similarly to Intel at the moment, if somewhat cheaper. They also outperform Intel, and come with actual decent coolers that can handle a decent overclock.
On top of that AMD processors are all unlocked, unlike Intel who make you pay extra for overclocking, which defeats the purpose of overclocking in the first place.

both are fine. both are single fan and will probably provide similar cooling too. i'd personally say get the cheaper one as there will be very small differences between the two and they should overclock very similarly. pretty much every 1060-1080 can oc to around 2 ghz.

if you're worried about the quality of the inno3d one, you shouldn't be but if you want a known brand then i can vouch for the zotac mini 1060 as a few of my friends have it and it's been a very good graphics card for them.

I've been getting into grand strategy again and games like total warhammer really stress my system to the max but it's still totally playable.

So I have two ideas.

I can build a amd 8350 machine which will only cost me a new psu, case, CPU, and motherboard.

Or

Build something with like a Ryzen 1300x or 1500. Which basically means I have to buy all new parts except for my Gpu.

I would prefer to stick with AMd for my next build and I'm trying to stay under 700$.

I just don't know if ryzen justifies the price vs getting an FX series which should be able to handle all the games I want to play anyway. Plus I imagine FX is better at compiling.

Hey guys, I'm european & looking for a good enough 2x8GB ram to put in my first built pc. I've seen online that a standard one is the Viper 4, but I'm having trouble finding it on european stores at a decent price, should I go for a 2x8GB Viper 3 (around €135)? It's just the previous model and if so, it's much worse/has big differences?

Is there much difference between 3000mhz and 3200mhz RAM? Going for 16gb with my Ryzen 1600 but the price difference is about £10, which is small, but it all adds up, so wondering if it's worth it.

Built a new toaster and I'm stuck on something. Everything is plugged in properly and I cant seem to get even to the bios screen, something like a no-display issue. No beep sound, OS either.

Have I missed something or fucked something? Any help would be great. And I'm sure that everything is fitted snug and even used the built-in gfx first so I can install in the OS.

If you're building Ryzen then some coolers might not have the AM4 mounting brackets. You should get them fairly cheaply or even free if you ask the cooler manufacturer. Front panel cables are still fucking tedious.
