Than here it comes! Arch linux or just manjora. These two good for everyone. You just need know few thing before using Arch, like how to install in first place. Then same again, tweaks>theme>animu wallpaper

Manjaro for access to the Arch User Repository, Ubuntu + i3wm + tilda if you want aesthetics + simplicity.

Both Ubuntu and Mint are fine. You can make them both look exactly how you want anyway. Just choose a nice DE. If you want a bit more advanced you can try Manjaro which comes with more choices when it comes to starting looks.

Change the DE in mint or ubuntu. That's the perfect beginner project. Should take you about an hour maybe. About as long as your average windows install after searching for all the drivers etc.
