Meanwhile, GNU/Linux only gets better and better.
You can't point to the growing codebase of the linux kernel either, nearly all of it is driver code for new devices and those don't get compiled into the kernel, but as modules, and even then, they don't get loaded unless you have those devices on your system.

There is software I can;t use on Linux, please don't list alternatives because I've tried many distros over the years.
I used 8.1 and 10 for quite a while. Bought a hard copy of win 7 pro at the market for my new pc parts. Happy as fuck with it now but I'm thinking of a dual boot with linux again. I was putting it off to get an ssd just for the linux install. So I wouldn't have to deal with grub menus potentially screwing up my system.
