Holy shit, what they are doing

Holy shit, what a blunder. Imagine running this along with a i9...
Sold out anyways ayyyyyyymd
>>61902924
Toms has more accurate numbers, but yeah Vega liquid cooled edition is retarded.
>320W +
Jesus Christ, this can power my whole PC
>>61902961
How do they even get these numbers? Just hook an ammeter between the PSU and the GPU?
>>61903077
Power usage total - Power usage of system stressed without GPU (or with a known low power GPU in case of no integrated graphics).
Of course don't run GPU stresstests when doing the control.

Power-meters are rather cheap, I bought mine for like $10.
Kind of a nice thing to have, you can easily see how much your box draws from the socket when it's just idle and when it's running at full CPU load and full GPU load and full everything load. It's quite useful for other things, too.

Yeah, this is pretty strange. It's barely been released and suddenly it's just out of stock everywhere.
These cards aren't all that for mining, so I don't get it. I guess the fact that there's no other GPUs to be bought from AMD plays a role. The RX580's still aren't back on the market (I thought they would be, perhaps they won't?)
Who else Vega + i9 master race? Comfiest setup here in the south pole.

Don't do that.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

>tell the drivers to allow more power usage
>it uses more power
i think op has mental problems
>>61904633
and thats just the graphics card. NOT the entire system lol.
But lets break it down in a more constructive way.
amd fucked up.
>way more expensive chip than nvidias 1080. (which is half the size)
>hbm2 is like 3 times more expensive than gddr5x
>overall the gpu should be 100-200$ more expensive for AMD to make similar profits to nvidia.
>the power usage is absolute dogshit. (even tho this isnt that relevant for gaymers.
>on the other hand power = efficiancy, meaning the card is not as good as an equally priced nvidia card no matter how you look at it.
But the cards do have some redeeming featuers. like being a good choice for people who have freesync monitors.
like:
>Good choice for high end with a freesync system
>guaranteed better performance over time
>might even reach 1080ti levels of performance in some games.
>might help set a new standard with HBC and HBM2
but im still glad i bought a 1080ti ftw3, and it was the cheapest 1080ti when i got it!
at the moment the liquid vega 64 costs 6899,- in Norway, while i got my FTW3 for 7299,-
I do however hope for AMD's sake they they just make a faster card next time instead of focusing on shit like HBM, which not only delayed the card for a year, but it cost AMD billions of dollars.

>300w
kek
>>61902924
I think it might scare miners away since the perform/watt is so bad it makes mining less economically feasible.
Really, though, it was AMD changing half the card before they attempt a die shrink next year.
