Is it hard to setup a Windows/Linux dual boot?

Is it worth doing?

Or do I go fully with Windows?
>>
You kill yourself because you already have no idea how to use either operating system, let alone program
>>
install Windows
not Ubuntu from USB disk
it asks if you want dual boot alongside your windows
choose it
done

boot* Ubuntu

replace windows with gentoo

I actually dualboot gentoo/Mint.

I like gentoo because "muh /g/ points", but the OS itself is unusable.
>>
Install windows
Shrink windows partition to whatever size you want it to be
Install Linux in the free space

Easy as fuck
>>
Install gentoo

Not hard at all, and definitely worth doing if you have a need for both systems. I dual-boot both, though I really only keep Windows around for the rare occasion that I need to do some C# stuff in Visual Studio.

Unless you're going to develop for the Linux Kernel, just do this.

>a person is interested in installing Linux so he asks if it's hard to dualboot
>First reply is kill yourself
>10+ replies of OP is an idiot
This is why it will never be the year of the Linux desktop
>>
>>61893693
>Or do I go fully with Windows?
absolutely not

>Is it worth doing?
yes

>Is it hard to setup a Windows/Linux dual boot?
for many Linux OS's, no. simply install windows first, and then linux second. many OS's will simply ask you if you would like to dual boot once they have detected a windows install.

but just forget all that and install gentoo

>>61894585
That's what the friendly thread is for. It's OP's fault he didn't ask people that'll help.

You go fully with Windows. You seem like a retard, so that might be best. If you have a surplus of good boy points saved up, maybe you could get a Mac?
>>
>>61893693
Not hard at all, but I suggest you go with full Linux with windows in a VM
>>
GNU/Linux Gentoo as main system with Windows in VM and GPU passthrough for gayms.
