Anyone got some ideas why i see on 1080 screen with 1080 size video in VLC info this 1090 ?
>>61879365
because 1088 does not fit into 1080
>>61879454
ok but where would that 1088 come from,
everthing shows the video file to be exact 1080
win explorer file info, MPC info ...
is there something in VLC options that triggers this?
>>61879489
1080 does not divide by 16 so 1080p video is actually decoded at 1088 and then 1 blank line is added to top and bottom for various reasons so you get 1090
The resolution of the video has nothing to do with the display resolution, that's why they're listed separately. All this means is that whatever video you have was recorded in 1920x1090. Why? I don't know. Ask whoever sourced the video you're watching.

>VLC
found your problem xD
>>61879529
file is def 1080 according to other players and info tools
>>61879500
ok this makes sence
but does this mean there is distortion/stretching in final output?

VLC 3 beta describes it differently

Duh that's why it's 16:9 1920x1080... 1080 gets divide by 9 not 16
